Renardia is a small library of free, printable coloring pages. This policy explains, in plain language, what little information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Overview
Renardia does not currently require an account to browse, print, or color pages on the site. Most of what we offer — browsing collections, downloading PDFs, and coloring online — works without you giving us any personal information at all.
The only information we actively collect today is what you choose to give us: an email address, if you sign up for our weekly new-pages newsletter. Everything else on this page describes technical, low-level data (like cookies and basic site analytics) that helps the site run reliably.
Information we collect
We keep this list short on purpose — we only collect what we actually use.
Information you give us
- Email address — only if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter. We don't ask for a name, birthday, or any other detail to sign up.
- Contact form messages — if you email us or use a contact form, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Basic usage data — pages visited, general device and browser type, and approximate location (country/city level, derived from IP address), collected through privacy-conscious analytics.
- Locally stored artwork — if you color a page using our online coloring tool, your in-progress artwork is saved in your own browser's local storage, on your device. We do not receive or store a copy of it on our servers unless you explicitly choose to share or upload it.
We do not collect payment information, because Renardia does not currently sell anything or charge for any part of the site.
How we use it
We use the limited information above only for the following purposes:
- Sending the weekly newsletter to subscribers, and nothing else, to that email address.
- Responding to messages sent through our contact form.
- Understanding which coloring pages and themes are popular, so we know what to make more of.
- Keeping the site fast, secure, and free of abuse (for example, detecting unusual traffic from a single source).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your email address for anything beyond the purpose you signed up for.
Children's privacy
Written for parents
Renardia is designed to be used by children, typically with a parent or teacher nearby. We built the site so that a child can browse, print, and color pages without ever needing to create an account or hand over personal information.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The only place we ask for personal information — an email address for our newsletter — is presented as an adult-facing action, and we ask that only a parent, guardian, or teacher subscribe.
If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will remove it promptly.
Third-party services
Renardia uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare — for DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes basic request metadata (IP address, browser type, requested page) to route traffic and block malicious requests.
- Google Fonts — for loading the typography you see on this site. Google may log font request data per its privacy policy.
- Privacy-focused analytics — we use a lightweight analytics tool that does not track individual users across sessions.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any advertising trackers.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for:
- Email addresses — until you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
- Contact form messages — until the issue is resolved, then deleted within 90 days.
- Analytics data — aggregated and retained for 26 months, then purged.
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, and we'll promptly delete your email address from our list.
Your choices
- Newsletter — unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email we send.
- Cookies — manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.
- Local storage — clear your browser's local storage to remove saved artwork.
- Data access & deletion — email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
We use HTTPS for all connections to renardia.com. Our hosting provider and CDN apply standard security measures (firewalls, DDoS protection, regular security patches) to protect the site and its limited data.
Because we collect very little personal information, the impact of a potential breach is inherently limited — there is little of value to steal. We still treat that little with care.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify newsletter subscribers by email. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
