How we started
We didn't set out to build a company. We set out to solve a rainy Tuesday.
It started the way most of these stories do: a rainy afternoon, a bored kid, and a parent frantically searching “dinosaur coloring page” — only to land on a site buried in pop-up ads, fake download buttons, and a print button that didn't work.
We'd all hit that same wall in our own houses and classrooms. So a few of us — a couple of parents, a primary school teacher, and an illustrator who'd spent a decade drawing for children's books — decided to just build the thing we kept wishing existed. Simple pages. Clear print buttons. Nothing trying to trick anyone into anything.
Renardia is still small. We like it that way. Every page you download has been seen by an actual person on our team before it went live — we use AI to help us draw faster, but we don't let it publish anything on its own. The name comes from Renard, the clever fox of old European folk tales, because that's the spirit we wanted: curious, a little mischievous, always making something out of not very much.
