Downloads & Printing
My PDF won't open after downloading
The three most common causes, and the one-click fix that solves most of them.
Try opening in a different program
Most browsers can open PDFs directly — just drag the file into a new browser tab. If that doesn't work, try Adobe Acrobat Reader or your device's built-in PDF viewer. On iPhones and iPads, the Books app opens PDFs natively.
Check if the download finished
A partially downloaded file often looks like a valid PDF but won't open. Check your Downloads folder — if the file size is very small (under 10KB), delete it and try downloading again. Make sure your internet connection stayed stable during the download.
Clear your browser cache
Sometimes an old or corrupted cached version gets in the way. Clear your browser's cache and downloaded file history, then try downloading again. This fixes the issue in most cases.
